New principals at Poudre Community Academy and Fossil Ridge High School

Poudre School District is proud to announce the new principals for Fossil Ridge High School and Poudre Community Academy.

Longtime Sabercat Mark Barry named principal at FRHS

Fossil Ridge High School sabercat logo黑料网is honored to announce that Mark Barry will serve as Fossil’s permanent principal, effective immediately. We are thankful for all he has done since July, when he started as interim principal, and are confident that he has the experience and dedication to flourish in this role.?

“Mr. Barry is a strong instructional leader who has earned the trust of the Fossil community,” Superintendent Brian Kingsley said. “His collaborative, strategic approach to leadership is to be celebrated, and I know he will continue to work with students, staff, parents and guardians, and community partners to further Fossil’s history of belonging, connection and high performance.”?

A Sabercat of 18 years, Barry is poised to lead the staff, students and school community to continued success. Barry is most proud of his staff’s collective work to create a safe yet rigorous educational environment and the resulting successes of the students they serve. ?

"I am honored to be selected as the ongoing principal for Fossil Ridge High School. I take this role seriously and will give my all every day to ensure that our students have access to the best teachers and programs available,” Barry said.?

Danielle Hir, Lucas Riojas selected co-principals at PCA

“Danielle and Lucas are strong partners and student-focused leaders in their school community,” said Superintendent Brian Kingsley. “Their talents and skills complement one another, and I am confident that they will continue to work with the community to build and grow Poudre Community Academy’s vibrancy.”?

“PCA is more than just an alternative high school experience. It is a home away from home, a safe place to be yourself, and a dedicated staff that will always believe in its students,” said Hir. “I'm grateful to lead our team as we continue to evolve with our community.”?

Hir and Riojas take pride in PCA's perseverance and willingness to take on any obstacles in their path.
