Mill and Bond Initiatives

Within?the past 30 years, voters have supported PSD?with mill levy overrides and bond initiatives in 1988, 1996, 2000, 2010 and most recently, November 2016. ║┌┴¤═°is grateful for this support, which has provided the resources to help?build new schools,?improve existing ones, update technology and?offer programming to give?students in northern Colorado the best education possible. 2019 Mill Levy Override

Larimer Countyí»s results from the election on?Nov. 5, 2019,?show that Ballot Issue 4A passed, with about 61% of voters supporting the ║┌┴¤═°mill levy override. The mill levy override?will?provide?$18 million annually for:?

  • Raising first-year teacher salaries?to a competitive level, beginning in the 2020-2021 budget year
  • Restructuring the teacher salary schedule to maintain competitive wages?and allow ║┌┴¤═°to recruit and retain high-quality teachers
  • Maintaining competitive wages for support staff?(classified employees such as bus drivers, paraprofessionals, child nutrition staff and custodians)
  • Supporting studentsí» mental health, hiring mental health professionals such as counselors
  • Enhancing safety and security

2016 Bond and Mill Levy Override

In November 2016, ║┌┴¤═°voters approved a $375 million bond and $8 million mill levy override?to address growth within the district, as well as necessary facilities improvements. The bond will fund construction of three new schools, a new athletics complex, a new transportation facility and?improvements to all existing 50 schools. The mill levy will be phased in over two years and?fund start-up costs for?new schools as well as costs for growth across?the district.

2010 Bond and Mill Levy Override

In November 2010,?the community voted to raise property taxes to pay for $120 million in improvements to existing schools and a $16 million educational mill levy override?to replace cuts to teaching staff, fund technology in classrooms and provide for other programming in the district.
